KM Malta hides €15 priority 10kg cabin bag option in ‘extras’

Customers of the new national airline can still go abroad with a 10kg cabin bag only – when paying an additional €15 per way

KM Malta Airlines has pointed out that each flight will have limited space for hand luggage for Economy Basic and Economy Value ticket holders.

On Tuesday, the Airline announced a ‘Priority’ option that can be found on its booking platform in ‘Extras’ – right after the selection of flights and fares.

“This includes a 10kg cabin bag (hand luggage) and priority boarding, that would guarantee a space for your hand luggage in the overhead bin”, KM Malta explained.

It is unclear whether this option has only been added following public outcry over lack of basic fares which include carry-on luggage only.

In comments to Times of Malta, published earlier on Tuesday, the airline’s CEO David Curmi made no mention of such option.

On Sunday night, KM Malta Airlines finally launched its own website, following a botched start and abysmal customer information.
