Rosianne Cutajar tax probe ‘covered by official secrecy’
The current status of the tax investigation into Rosianne Cutajar’s undeclared profits from a property deal is “covered by official secrecy”.
This is Commissioner for Revenue Joseph Caruana’s response to The Shift’s request for an update on the investigation.
The Shift’s request refers to former Labour MP Rosianne Cutajar’s undeclared profits from a property deal with murder suspect Yorgen Fenech.
The deal in May 2019 saw Cutajar pocketing an estimated €46,000 in brokerage fees for a €3.1 million property in Mdina.
On Monday, Commissioner Caruana told The Shift, “The information being requested is covered by official secrecy and may not be divulged”.
