Embattled Labour MP to remain in Parliament as ‘independent’

Labour MP Rosianne Cutajar has resigned from the PL parliamentary group and will remain in Parliament as an “independent” member.

Cutajar said in a Facebook post she will serve “in consistency with Labour principles”, suggesting Partit Laburista will be able to retain Cutajar on the sidecar.

The resignation was first communicated in a statement issued by the Labour Party, minutes before an executive meeting at the party’s headquarters started on Monday evening.

Partit Laburista has published Cutajar’s resignation sent to Prime Minister Robert Abela and PL President Ramona Attard.
