Alarm Phone: 300 people in Malta’s SAR area ask for urgent rescue
On Wednesday night, the NGO said on Twitter that in its last telephone contact it had been told water was entering the boat.
It said the authorities had been informed and urged them, as usual, to intervene without delay.
Update Thursday 09:30 | Alarm Phone said on Twitter that the 252 people (not 300 as the NGO had initially been told) have safely reached Lampedusa.
