Air Malta still selling tickets for flights beyond its closure date

Malta’s absolute joke of a national carrier is still taking bookings for flights after its closing date on 30 March 2024, The Shift reports

Airmalta.com is still selling tickets beyond its last day of operations, however those bookings will not be transferred to the new national airline.

Those who are not aware of the airline’s closure on 30 March 2024 and still book those flights will have to go through Air Malta’s exhausting refund process.

Customers have complained for years that Air Malta doesn’t process refunds within reasonable time, sometimes even defying legal time limits.

“That’s just how it is. The website is wrong. You’ll book for nothing”, a support agent told The Shift, adding that customers should “wait until December” to book with the new airline.
