WATCH: BirdLife asks government to provide ‘trees in pots’ for roosting

The government should bring large trees in pots to Mosta Square for birds to roost there, BirdLife Malta CEO Mark Sultana said

“What we saw today is that people and the communities care about nature and biodiversity”, Sultana told Bonġu’s Michael Kaden.

People expected more of the country’s leaders, the government politicians and the mayors and local councils.

The damage done to White Wagtails was something which cannot be remedied at this point, Sultana said.

BirdLife Malta is asking the ministry to try and bring over large trees in pots as a refuge for these birds.
