Transport Minister Aaron Farrugia said the authorities have learned their lesson, and suggests that conventions like Sigma start later

Sigma, major conventions should start after rush hour – Farrugia
Farrugia said major events should start after rush hour, with those attending utilising more “compact” means of transport instead of cabs.
He suggested that such events should start later, at around 10:30, and called for attendees to be transported there by coach.
Last week, the 25,000-delegates Sigma event at Malta Maritime Hub caused massive traffic jams around Marsa junction and across the country.
Farrugia said the country cannot miss out on such conventions, and shouldn’t let these conferences “go to other cities”.
He said the country needed more of these conferences, and called for closer cooperation.
