Moviment Graffitti denies knowingly receiving donations from golden passport applicants

Just like civil society NGO Repubblika, Moviment Graffitti has denied it knowingly received donations from golden passport applicants

“We can confirm that we have not received any donation indicating that it was being made by a golden passport scheme applicant”, Moviment Graffitti said on Monday.

The NGO further pointed out that there were no donations close to the €10,000 that the government expects passport buyers to donate to local NGOs.

In a letter to Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri, Moviment Graffitti said it does not want to receive donations that are used to meet the criteria of the “lousy” golden passport scheme.

Moviment Graffitti’s reaction followed a similarly strong denial issued by civil society group Repubblika earlier on Monday.
