MCAST students to stage walkout in protest over not receiving marks
Students were informed that the Malta Union of Teachers would not be suspending this directive, and that a meeting between the MCAST management and MUT has been pushed back.
This means students will not receive marks for exams they took last November and that February resits may be canceled or postponed until the summer.
MCAST students will therefore walk out of lectures and stage a protest at the Paola college canteen on Friday at noon.
MCAST Mosta students have announced a separate protest at 11:30 in support of their lecturers’ collective agreement demands.
The next meeting between the college’s management and the Malta Union of Teachers is scheduled for 22 January.
