Labour government uses ARMS Ltd for pre-election message to clients
The government company responsible for billing water and electricity services, Automated Revenue Management Services (ARMS) Limited, has informed account holders about their savings due to government subsidies introduced in 2021.
In personalised letters dated 9th May, ARMS Ltd praises the “strategic decision taken by the Maltese Government to maintain price stability”, pointing out it was “a decision which other countries did not take”.
“The government is committed to making decisions that do not add additional financial burdens to local families and business”, the company boasts.
The letter, which reads like a political message, also announces that water and electricity bills will now include the subsidy amount for each bill.
Suspiciously, the distribution of these letters coincides with the ongoing European Parliament and Local Council election campaign.
