Flights to Catania cancelled after Mount Etna’s latest eruption

Catania Airport has announced it is suspending operations due to volcanic activity and ash emission of Mount Etna

Air Malta said it had to cancel its flights to Catania, KM 642/643 on Sunday and KM 640/641 on Monday, and advised travellers to contact its customer service centre.

“Customers booked on these flights will be able to either rebook to travel on an alternative flight, or to receive a full ticket refund”, the airline said in a statement.

If their flights were booked trough an agency, customers should contact their travel agent, Air Malta added.
