Update: Gozo Channel ferry back in service

Gozo Channel has announced its ferries are back in service after a 3-hour suspension due to bad weather conditions this afternoon

The ferries between Ċircewwa and Mġarr are now again operating on the so-called Comino Route which is often used during unfavourable sea conditions.

The fast ferries between Valletta and Mġarr, operated by Gozo Fast and Virtu Ferries Gozo, have been suspended all day.

This service will only resume on Sunday afternoon, at 13:45 from Valletta and at 14:45 from Mġarr.

Earlier on Saturday, the Meterological Office issued another weather warning for strong winds, as the current winds from the west northwest will increase in force.

Potted trees for roosting birds in Mosta Square had fallen due to lack of proper anchorage and were eventually secured by Saturday noon.
