Parts of B’kara, Msida, Sta Venera hit by second power cut this weekend

Just like on Friday evening, Malta’s second largest city has been left without electricity again on Saturday evening

Residents of Birkirkara, Malta’s second most populated locality, Msida, and Santa Venera have reported they’re suffering another power outage.

The first reports came in at around 7.15pm and, with some delay, Enemalta highlighted a “high tension outage” on it’s so-called live map.

At 9pm, the UEFA EURO 2024 Group E game Belgium-Romania is set to kick off, leaving football fans worrying about whether they will miss another game.

Malta and Gozo experienced their first nationwide power cut of the season last Sunday due to ‘testing’ which destabilized the power grid.

The minister politically responsible for Malta and Gozo’s electricity supply, or lack thereof, is Labour’s Miriam Dalli.
