Repubblika president Robert Aquilina was interrogated at Ħamrun police station for holding a media conference outside the PBS building last week

Robert Aquilina interrogated for speaking to media outside PBS
On Friday, the president of the civil society group held a media conference, accusing PBS of “systematic censorship”.
Aquilina criticised that the NGO had not been invited to participate in any discussion programme for two years.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Aquilina said police officers refused to elaborate on who filed the report and what the report contained:
“They refused to give me a copy of the report PBS made and said that they have yet to decide if they are going to take me to court.”

Lawyer Therese Comodini Cachia said there was no mention of trespassing or other legal complaints.
Robert Aquilina said he considered the matter as an act of intimidation and as a threat to his fundamental rights of expression and of association.
