PN to take over Workers’ Day with protest against Labour

Nationalist Party announces mass protest against the Labour government on 1 May

The Nationalist Party said it will be organising several activities to mark Workers’ Day, including a mass event to protest against the Labour government.

PN leader Bernard Grech said on Friday that the common theme for these activities will be ‘Nagħtu s-Saħħa lill-Ħaddiem’ (Giving strength to workers).

“We will be protesting the fact that Robert Abela’s government has abandoned the workers. This government, even more than that of Joseph Muscat, although in the same boat, not only didn’t work in the interest of workers, but actively swindled them”, Grech said.

Workers’ Day on 1 May is traditionally being celebrated by socialist parties around the world. The Labour Party will be holding its annual Workers’ Day event in Valletta.
