Christian Borg’s companies claim they fell victim to ‘smear campaign’

Counter-protest against ‘factually unfounded’ claims filed in court

No Deposit Cars Malta Ltd, Princess Holdings Ltd, and their directors Christian Borg and Joseph Camenzuli, filed a counter-protest in court on Tuesday morning.

26 clients represented by lawyer Jason Azzopardi had filed a judicial protest calling for a police investigation into alleged tax evasion and fraud by Christian Borg’s companies.

Among other allegations, the customers maintained that they were being constrained to pay for services they had not received and to pay hundreds of euros in fake fines.

The car businesses categorically denied the allegations and claimed this was “an orchestrated mud-slinging campaign” against them.

They said that the claims were factually and legally unfounded, and that any fines that customers were required to pay were genuine.
